About Me

Through my own faith journey, I have discovered that God is not far off.  Time and time again, I have experienced Him coming near, deeply loving and caring for my heart.  In learning to listen and resting in His love, I have come to know that God wants me to thrive, to be fully alive.  I desire to live and offer to others from that place.

As a spiritual director, I am a Christian (follower of Jesus), valuing the Bible as the Word of God. I am grateful for the many diverse cross-cultural experiences of my life:  from my childhood in Africa to teaching overseas as an adult.  After years of being single in ministry, I am now married and a grandmother of ten. I enjoy relating with others through ethnic foods, books, and cozy coffee shops.  I most deeply connect with God through Scripture, being out in nature (often with my camera), in silence, and through corporate worship.  Through my years in ministry, I have become passionate about pursuing spiritual health, while supporting others in their own journeys with God.

I am trained in the Contemplative Evocative Approach to spiritual direction and supervision:

Contemplative:  an unhurried space to listen in the silence to the Spirit, to one another, and to ourselves (body, soul, and spirit);

Evocative: an opportunity to explore what may be underneath the surface, at the heart-level, through open-ended questions.

I believe that to thrive, we are being invited to pay attention to our souls (“soul care”).  How might God desire to be with you in this season around themes of identity, transition, loneliness, singleness/marriage, loss, grief, work/life balance, and healthy living

I’d love to meet with you to explore what is stirring in your heart.

I have an MA in Spiritual Formation, trained in Spiritual Direction by Soul Stream, Canada, and as a Spiritual Direction Supervisor through Spiritual Directors International. As a life-long learner I value the importance of continued growth and education, being a member of Christ-Centered Spiritual Direction Association (https://www.graftedlife.org/csda/home) and Deepen (on staff of a Spiritual Direction training programme for cross-cultural workers) (https://www.sentwell.org/deepen).

My Work

A table with a blue and white ceramic vase holding green and yellowish olive branches, surrounded by several white candles and two brass candle holders, with a light-colored textured wall in the background.

It’s an opportunity to explore your faith questions

and

to discover how God is present in your every-day life.

What can you expect?

  • I come alongside you to support you in your relationship with God.

  • We listen for how God may be coming amidst your real-life.

  • Spiritual direction is an opportunity for you to listen for and then to respond to the Spirit’s invitation.

  • As we sit together, over time, God’s slow work of transformation, through the Holy Spirit, takes place in you.

  • This growth then impacts your life, leading to greater spiritual health and vitality; increased freedom to be who God created you to be.

What is Spiritual Direction?

My Services

Two yellow Adirondack chairs facing a lake, surrounded by greenery, with trees and a building in the background, under a clear blue sky.

Two white wicker chairs sitting outside in a garden with flowering plants, overlooking a vineyard with grapevines, houses, and mountains in the background.
A living room with a gray sofa and a blue patterned armchair. On the coffee table, there is a potted succulent plant, a yellow candle on a candle holder, and a small vintage-looking book titled 'A Sceptic's Cupboard."
